Introduction

Culina Group provides time-critical logistics to major retailers, growers, and manufacturers throughout the UK and Ireland. At their 24/7 Fowler Welch site, the fast-paced environment leaves little room for downtime.

Challenge

With operations running continuously, Adept had to plan works meticulously to avoid disruption. The site’s chilled warehouses and service roads required substantial repair work within a very narrow time frame.

Solution

Adept installed durable resin flooring within the chilled warehouse areas and carried out major structural repairs to the heavily trafficked service roads. Due to the scale of the road repairs, the area had to be closed for ten days. To manage the logistics operation safely during this period, a one-way traffic light system was implemented. High-performance, fast-curing MMA resin was used to minimise downtime and maximise durability in both internal and external settings.

Outcome

The project was delivered safely and on schedule with no interruption to the 24/7 logistics operation. The new surfaces now provide a tough, long-lasting finish ready to handle continuous heavy vehicle use.
