Introduction

Adept Flooring was contracted to deliver flooring works within a government-owned laboratory in central London. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, all operations had to be handled with discretion, care, and precision.

Challenge

The building remained operational throughout the works, meaning each floor level had to be handed over individually. Limited working hours and tight deadlines meant every phase had to be completed and signed off by the end of the week, allowing relocation and recommencement of critical work.

Solution

We installed a self-smoothing, solvent-free, flexible polyurethane system across the designated floor levels. This product was chosen for its low odour, seamless finish, chemical resistance, and ease of cleaning—perfect for high-specification environments. All works were delivered in occupied premises under strict time constraints and logistical requirements.

Outcome

Each phase of the project was delivered to schedule and specification. The laboratory now benefits from hygienic, durable, and easy-to-maintain flooring, with minimal disruption to its essential day-to-day operations.
